What do you think?

Okay, FIRST check out our Photo Blog so that you can see all the awesome shots that Michael posted from our WPPI encounter!!

Next, I'm interested to hear about people's preferences. Tell me what you think:
1. Live in a huge house in the middle of the desert or a really small house in a beautiful location?
2. Have the same job for 30 years with an average income and have security or take business risks that can either pay off really big or tank?
3. Have a job that you love that pays less or have a job that pays big but you hate?
4. Have less kids with better vacations and activities or more kids with simply activities and vacations. (example: European vacations vs. camping)
5. Have kids early in life and still be young when they're grown or have kids later on in life and be old when they are grown.
6. Go to church weekly or go to church only on Christmas and Easter.
7. Baths or showers?
8. Dinner or Dessert?
9. Board Games or Video Games?
10. Cloudy days or sunny days?

Okay, please post your thoughts b/c I'm super curious! Sometimes I think that things are obvious - like why would anyone CHOOSE do to this or that. But maybe, I haven't heard every side of the story... :)
(Martha, I know your checking this so I think you should post this time! haha!)

This will be long...

1. Live in a huge house in the middle of the desert or a really small house in a beautiful location? Small house in a beautiful location.

2. Have the same job for 30 years with an average income and have security or take business risks that can either pay off really big or tank? Take risks, security is overrated! :)

3. Have a job that you love that pays less or have a job that pays big but you hate?
Have a job that pays less but I loooove.

4. Have less kids with better vacations and activities or more kids with simply activities and vacations. (example: European vacations vs. camping)
Less kids with better vacation, activities and attention.

5. Have kids early in life and still be young when they're grown or have kids later on in life and be old when they are grown.
Ummmm...somewhere in the middle.

1. Small house in a beautiful location.

2. Risk it!

3. Money is overrated. Doing what you love is underrated.

4. Planning-wise I imagine that we would want to stop after 2 kinds. HOWEVER, if somehow we have more I can only consider that a blessing!

5. A little later than early, but not too late.

6. Weekly!

7. Showers.

8. Dinner.

9. Despite growing up addicted to video games, definitely board games. They're more social!

10. Both!

Heh! You got me!

1) Small House in beautiful location FOR SURE.

2) Take risks

3) Job that pays less (it pays to love your co-workers!)

4) More kids and simple vacations.

5) If I could have planned my life vs. letting God do that for me :) I would say kids at 27 or 28. Not too young, not approaching high-risk state!

6) Weekly

7) Showers! Baths lose their luxury as soon as the bubbles die and the water gets cold.

8) Dessert

9) Board games. Except for the Wii. I love the Wii.

10) Mostly sunny days, but I do love the occasional rainy Saturday to hunker down, eat fresh cookies, and watch a movie.

I'm just going to answer #1. And my answer is, it depends on the house. Also, the desert can be beautiful. However, for the sake of argument, let's say the beautiful location you're referring to is Santa Barbara, and the desert is Lancaster. In either case, I would rather live in the house that is more modern. I don't mean newer, or more contemporary, I mean straight-out flat-roofed Frank Lloyd Wright modern. Give me that house, and I'll live in Alaska.
