American Idol Audition Video # 1
Okay, we figured out how to do this and below is the video!! (Many thanks to my amazing husband for doing it all!) Let me preface this by saying that I decided to post up the first and only take that I did of this song - because I felt that I'm only going to have one shot at singing for the judges so I'm calculating some margin of error.
I am begging and pleading that each one of you who reads this post and watches the video makes a comment! I am VERY interested in hearing what you have to say and your opinions! And don't worry if you think it sucks - I want to know before someone else (like Simon ahem) might tell me! Thanks!

Hi Banana - first of all, you're pretty amazing to put yourself out there like this. I have a hard time posting pictures of myself on the blog let alone singing :) I think your voice is amazing, that's no surprise. It's hard to imagine hearing this song on the top 40 stations - but I'm guessing you'd sing something like this just to let them hear your range? Anyway, I'll be excited to hear what comes next as well. I have to say though, it doesn't hold a candle to Avery's rendition of "The Ariel Song." ;)

you have an amazing voice! too good for american idol! but if you really want them to consider you, i think you should give them a pop song that can also show off your voice. like whitney houston's version of dolly parton's "i will always love you". Or maybe something by Jewel - she actually trained as an opera singer and then went pop. Or maybe "hurt" by Christina Aguilera. I don't know - but I'd go you see in concert - classical or pop. Anna, your voice is amazing! Kudos for putting yourself out there!! I have to agree with the others though, you should also have a well rehearsed pop song to add to your arsenal! Good Luck and we'll be watchin! ;)
Amazing! Awesome job- your voice is just beautiful! I'll keep adding on in saying that I think having something that can show you can go the "pop" route will probably help you a lot. Find something that is maybe something more classical than what you typically see on the show, but still is accessible for "pop" fans.

Good points everyone! I think I am going to scratch Nuit Detoille b/c it's definitely not main stream enough. Stay tuned for my version of "Ave Maria"
