"The Secret" - Changed my life!
Who has watched the DVD, "The Secret" ? If you have, will you post a comment and give a little insight into how its changed your life? This DVD is SO amazing and only takes a hour and a half to watch. You can buy it at any Barnes & Nobles or Borders and probably a ton of other places too.
I really feel that no matter what walk of life you are at, watching this DVD will open your eyes to the amazing potential that you possess. And ultimately, it will make you aware of how to accomplish your dreams.I was hanging out last night with some of Michael and my photographer BFF's. Tim & Cheryl Halberg, Barnaby Draper and Nicole Steakley, Chris & Katie Humphrey's, Kristen Renee and Andrew Van Gundy. We were out to dinner and I was chatting with Nicole about various things. And one thing that we touched upon was that in life, achieving your dream is very simple. It only takes 1. Time and 2. Pressure. Its the exact same principle that I learned by watching "The Shawshank Redemption" where at the end, you find that the principles of geology are the same. It takes and time and pressure. It took time and pressure to create the Grand Canyon - just like it will only take time and pressure to acheive your dreams. But if you don't put in consistent time or pressure then it will never happen. Its a simple principle!
Anyway, I heard about "The Secret" from a new friend David Berck - so thanks David! I love hanging out with forward thinking people who are a wealth of knowledge and have so many golden nuggets to share! (and now I'm sharing it with you, hint hint!)
For those of you who haven't seen this DVD - go out and buy it immediately! And THEN post on the the blog about what you think! Can't wait to hear what you have to say!

I total believe in forward thinking and visualizing a dream but regret I didn't watch this a while back do to a family member who watched it. Their take on it was if you just sit around and will something you want to happen in your life it will just happen like magic. It is true if you want something, it needs the time and pressure to receive, a goal, a dream. You need to see your self there and want it sooooo bad that all the time put in it isn't wasted time but invested time, time spent on making a dream reality.
I'll take a look at the movie and share my thoughts, maybe she just got the wrong message.
There is a saying, "If you are praying for potatoes, grab a hoe."
I absolutely agree that you have to put things in to actions to see results. But if we don't change what we envision for ourselves then we'll never achieve real change!
The Secret ABSOLUTELY adjusted the way I thought about my life. Well before I saw it, I was sitting in my office cubicle one day, and I said to myself, "danielle, you are ready to become a photographer. Fullt-time. You will be successful" and so, i literally quit my job THAT day and have not looked back. Part of it is, you MUST believe that you will be a success and that belief causes you to make decisions, to work hard, to invest in the dream. After actually seeing the Secret (and reading the book) I now know that my vision of success actually led to me being a success. I absolutely think EVERYONE should watch this movie.

I am a HUGE believer of The Secret and what moved me the most about it was thinking about my past and how my thoughts DID create the life I lived. They need the Secret for kids and teens like those Chicken Soup books... we can all achieve the life we want... one thing really moved me, BEYOND just want I want for ME, was to be constantly and consistently GRATEFUL and thankful for the life and loves we have and even the PAIN that can bring about change.
The other thing she says is about how not everyone WANTS the same dream. Not everyone wants to be famous or president or even a mother... SO, the universe has it all available for us, it's not like we are competing for precious resources, we can ALL have what we NEED and want.
Oh, I could go on and on.... but aren't you lucky you found it. Enjoy the journey!
I'm with you! I watched this video 2 years ago and wrote down "I am" statements on index cards. After a year of reading them and visualizing daily and "sending out to give", a majority of them have become a reality. I have watched a few times and have the book. Another book I absolutely loved is "Excuse Me...Your Life is Waiting" by Lynne Grabhorn.

I believe in visualizing what you want, I remember I saw the Secret DVD back about 18 months ago. It definitely changed my thinking and has gotten me on track to go for what I love and am passionate about.
You guys rock! :)
